Hi, I’m Danya.
I believe music is one of the most beautiful and powerful forms of art that we have access to today. It’s used in therapy and rehab facilities, religious services, commercials, theater productions, for entertainment, and for comfort. Songs bring commonality to groups of people that may have never had something in common before. Music speaks to our hearts, it opens our eyes, and sometimes, it gets us through the day.
I have been studying and performing music for 17 years. I learned by taking private lessons from teachers who invested in me one on one for the better part of 11 years. I learned from coaches and performers I met while I toured for 3 years with my band. Over the past 5 years, I’ve learned through leading and directing worship teams at churches and conferences. I’m learning what works and what doesn’t work (mostly through trial and error). I’m learning how to bring out the best in people, wherever they happen to be on their journey. I’m learning how to grow stronger, to never stop improving, and to never stop moving forward.
I’m not in the business of uniformity. I believe each artist is different. Every person has their own unique sound. I want to use mine to bring people into moments of restoration, truth, and freedom. My goal in performing, speaking, and writing is to create a space where people can step forward into who they are meant to be – to own who they are, walk bolding toward the future, and hold onto hope, even when it feels like hope is lost. I create music that I hope unveils their passion and helps them pursue it.
I also teach. I love to bring out the very best in each individual artist or group that comes to a session or lesson. We have the amazing opportunity to create something special, something new, every time we learn an instrument, write a song, or sing a note. Your voice is a voice no one has ever heard before. You’re the only person who can write or play like you.
As a teacher or coach, I want to invest in who you are and what you want to do. Because, well, I believe in you. I want to help you live your dream. As a mentor or performance coach, for rock bands or worship teams, I want to help you bring people into moments of connection, excitement, and participation. I want to help you gain support and bridge the gap from the stage to the audience. I want to help you build communities with your music. We have a wonderful opportunity in front of us: to be people that make a difference in the world.
If you’re interested in my music, sessions, or classes, I’d love to talk with you! You can contact me by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Let’s see what kind of magic we can create together.
